“We moved the ball well,” explained Luciano Spalletti after Napoli’s 4-1 friendly win over Perugia. “We were good in possession and [Khvicha] Kvara gave us that quality in the first half. He’s a fitting replacement for a top player like [Lorenzo] Insigne.
“We’re certainly thinking about bringing some players in but the market suggests that many deals will be struck at the last minute given how long negotiations are taking. I have complete faith in the club regarding the deals we’re going to do.
“It’s obvious that the fans want to see quality. We have only one method of doing that, which is by showcasing our personality and technique when we take to the pitch.
“Victor [Osimhen] has to reach his best level, but we know very well how much potential he has and we’ll work hard on the qualities that he hasn’t shown yet.
“I don’t know why you [journalists] want to make a thing out of the Matteo [Politano] situation. If Politano stays and makes a key contribution as he did last year, we’ll all be pleased.”
