Read what Luciano Spalletti had to say in his media conference ahead of Sunday's home fixture against Bologna.
Does Victor Osimhen's return give you a bit of a selection headache?
“Choosing the team is easy. We have a squad of 24-25 players and they'll all get their chances. It's important to be able to bring in fresh legs. If we didn't have [Giacomo] Raspadori or [Giovanni] Simeone, it would have been difficult to obtain the results we have without Osimhen.”
“We'll keep doing things the way we have, picking whoever is ready. I have lots of players on the same level and they all perform well when they play. Having different strikers to choose from is a fantastic resource for the team.
“Competition for places is an added value. We want everyone trying to prove themselves. The longer we can maintain the mood we have in the camp at the moment, the better chance we'll all have of fulfilling our ambitions.”
What sort of match are you expecting tomorrow?
“Bologna will be no easier than any other team because every match in Serie A is a journey into the unknown. We have to be able to turn the game the way we want it and impose our ideas. We need to keep the ball and carry it towards the opposition goal with power and enthusiasm.
“Bologna have an excellent squad and they'll be keen to show they should be higher up the table. We're going to have to deal with very good, experienced players. There will be difficulties and we'll need to overcome them. We're going to need to bide our time, try to win the ball high up and peg them back. What I saw in training today was reassuring. We've recovered our energy levels and I'm confident we can put in a good performance tomorrow. It's going to be difficult but it's a game we can win if we do things the right way.”
Who will play instead of Frank Anguissa and Amir Rrahmani?
"We have two very reliable centre-backs. [Leo] Ostigard is one of the best players in the air I've ever seen. Juan Jesus played against Ajax because they had a very fast player in Kudus and Juan has the ability to match him. The choice of defenders always depends on the sort of team we find ourselves up against. [Tanguy] Ndombele will play in midfield because he's a similar sort of player to Anguissa.”
How's Diego Demme doing?
“He's fine. He's made a full recovery and we're glad about that. He's going to be a very useful player in this spell we have coming up.”
How good do you think Napoli can be? Can you play better than now?
“I think we can do even better. You must always think you can play better because that means you want to keep growing. We've only played nine league games and lots of other teams are close to us at the top. We have to keep our feet on the ground and try to keep living up to the expectations of our fans as they deserve the best.”
“Our goal is to win games. We have self-belief and we're aware of our strengths and what we need to improve. Every match gives us a clearer picture of what we can achieve.”
