Michael Fabbri has been put in charge of Napoli’s trip to Verona on the opening game of Serie A this season.
He will be joined by assistants Salvatore Lombardo and Michele Lombardi, fourth official Francesco Meraviglia, and VARs Aleandro Di Paolo and Daniele Bindoni.
Michael Fabbri has refereed 108 matches in Serie A, 12 of which came last year. He’s the referee who brandished the greatest number of red cards in Serie A last season: six in total, three of which were straight red cards.
He has already been at the helm for two Serie A fixtures between Napoli and Verona. Both were played at Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi and finished 3-1 (Napoli came out on top on 19 August 2017, while it was Verona’s turn on 24 January 2021).
