“It was a dream night.” Alessio Zerbin was beaming after his wonderful late show for Napoli, coming on in the 81st minute and scoring his first brace for the club. A match the youngster is sure never to forget:
“I didn’t overthink things when I went onto the pitch. I just gave my all and was in the right place at the right time.
“To be honest I wasn’t expecting to pull off such a feat – it feels like a dream. I’ve got my first goals for Napoli and it’s come on an important occasion.
“My first strike really spurred me on and contributed to me adding another. Sometimes your subconscious helps you. It’s been a fantastic evening.”
