Francesco Calzona was pleased with his team’s performance at the San Siro on Sunday night. The Azzurri came away from Milan with a draw against Serie A leaders Inter.
“We played with pride and showed great quality. There was no way we would come to Milan and not struggle a bit against the team at the top of the table. We only really gave them ten minutes. We managed to draw against a team that won their last ten games.
“We tried to win after levelling the score, and that’s the right attitude to have. We don’t have time to work on every tiny detail, but I believe in this group and I know we’re finding ourselves again.
“The lads keep growing and we want to finish the season on a high. We are working extremely hard with the staff and I’m convinced that if we carry on like this, we can still reach some important goals.”
