Francesco Calzona’s first match as head coach of Napoli ended all square on Wednesday evening. The Azzurri hosted Barcelona at the Maradona for the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie and secured a 1-1 draw against the visitors.

After the first half ended goalless, Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring in the 60th minute by firing the ball into the bottom left. Napoli replied 15 minutes later through Victor Osimhen, who slotted home to even the scores.

The two sides will meet again in three weeks’ time in Barcelona to settle the tie and decide who proceeds to the quarter-finals.
