Luciano Spalletti was interviewed after his side fell to a 2-0 defeat at Monza. Here’s some of what the coach had to say:

“It’s never nice to lose, not just for me but for the team as well. But the lads still deserve a lot of credit for how well they’ve done overall this season.

“Right now there are various reasons why we can fall to defeat – I’m talking about us being less sharp or our performance levels tailing off. We always aspire to play to our best, though. These lads know that self-discipline is important and they’ve always been up to the task in this regard.

“As for when Kvara came on, we’re obviously fully aware of what he’s capable of and he’s got so much to offer. He needs to improve at his defending, but the lad is a class act.

“Regarding our summer plans, Napoli have always shown that they’re able to recruit top-class players and that they’re a savvy club in the transfer market. But our focus right now is on rounding off the season.”
