Luciano Spalletti was full of praise for his team after a stunning Champions League performance against Liverpool - but was keen to stress that continuity is key.
"We were superb tonight and thoroughly deserved the win,” the coach began following his side's 4-1 defeat of the Reds at the Stadio Maradona.
“It's a big result, especially considering the calibre of the opposition. We played our game without letting up. Liverpool are a world-class side and my players produced a top-quality performance.
“I'd never take a draw before a game – I could never put a limit on what my team can achieve. My team is strong, ambitious and wants to win every match.
“Now we have to keep our heads down and carry on working hard. We won't get carried away. It was a great performance but we have to do it again in our other games. There's no arrogance. When you play for Napoli, that's how you should play every match.
“Tomorrow we'll start preparing for Spezia and we'll keep going. We've got off to a good start. I'm pleased with the lads' mentality and the football we're playing but it's the start of the journey and we need to play at maximum intensity every time we step out there.”
